Enjoy cycling together during the school holidays

Looking for something the whole family can enjoy during the school holidays? Get outdoors, get active and discover the joy of cycling together with Bikeworks.

Our free SEND Family Ride Together sessions are for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) living in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham, along with their families.

Finding physical activities that are genuinely inclusive for the whole family isn’t always easy. These dedicated sessions create an opportunity for children, siblings, parents, family members and carers to enjoy cycling alongside one another, with specialist cycles and experienced instructors to support everyone taking part.

Whether it’s discovering cycling for the first time, developing new skills or simply enjoying a ride together, there’s something for everyone.

    Different Cycles, Shared Experiences

At Bikeworks, we know there isn’t just one way to enjoy cycling.

Our specialist All Ability fleet includes traditional two-wheel bikes, trikes, Side-by-Side cycles and wheelchair platform cycles, offering different ways for children and their families to get out riding together.

Children and young people can explore the different cycles and choose how they’d like to take part. Some may enjoy riding independently, while others can share a cycle with a parent, sibling or carer. With a range of options available, families can discover what works for them and enjoy the experience together.

Our experienced All Ability instructors will be there to welcome you, help you find suitable cycles and provide support throughout your visit. From learning to pedal and building confidence to trying a completely different way of cycling, everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and enjoy riding at their own pace.

There’s no need to bring your own bike or have previous cycling experience.

Most importantly, these sessions are about more than learning to ride. They’re an opportunity for families to spend time outdoors, enjoy physical activity together and share an experience that isn’t always easy to access.

It’s not about how you cycle – it’s about being able to cycle.
