Our Fleet Maintenance service is here to get your cycles back on the road. We have extensive experience in delivering maintenance to primary and SEND schools, maintaining both two wheelers and specially adapted cycles.
What is the Fleet Maintenance service?
At Bikeworks we understand the importance of a well maintained fleet of cycles; all of our inclusive cycling activities depend on it! That is why we have devised a fleet service programme designed to suit everybody’s needs, whether you have specially adapted cycles or two wheelers. From 5 up to 50 – we have you covered!
Fleet maintenance is an essential part of guaranteeing your cycle has a long life span. This ensures that your cycles remain in top condition and minimises the risk of accidents and breakdowns throughout the year. Even if a cycle seems in working order it is important to have it checked regularly to prevent any future breakages which may be more costly to repair.
Who is Fleet Maintenance for?
Fleet Maintenance is an invaluable part of maintaining healthy cycles, and can be used by any organisation with up to 50 cycles. Our mechanics have specialist experience with primary and SEND schools, particularly in the maintenance of specially adapted cycles.
How is the service structured?
Our fleet servicing is time based, as opposed to price per cycle. The nature of fleet servicing means that some cycles may require 10 minutes of work, whereas others will demand 40. We believe that charging a set rate per hour is the most cost effective for you as the client, and us as the provider.
Our fleet servicing programme begins with an initial ‘consultation’ session, which will allow us to inspect the cycles. This is charged from £100 + VAT.
Following this session, we will be able to provide you with a non-obligatory quote to service your fleet. This will include:
- A detailed breakdown of the condition of the cycles
- Recommended repairs
- Estimated labour time
- The cost of any replacement parts required
- Estimated time it will take to complete the Fleet Maintanence
After you have reviewed our assessment and agreed the quote amount, we can commence a second visit for repairs.
The approved repairs and servicing are then completed during the mechanics second visit.
