City & Guilds - Level 2 Cycle Mechanics

Bikeworks offers part time and full time, City & Guilds "Level 2 Cycle Mechanic" courses. The accredited 10-day course provides an industry standard qualification for professional mechanics.

Who is it for?

The course is for anyone who wants to learn advanced bicycle maintenance, either to further their career in the cycle industry, start a new career, or for cycle enthusiasts.

What does the course cover? 

A 10-day level 2 course covers: 

  • Repair a cycle puncture

  • Remove and replace a cycle rim brake assembly

  • Carry out a systematic cycle check

  • Remove and replace cycle gear systems

  • Remove and replace cycle hub bearings

  • Remove and replace cycle bottom brackets and cranks

  • Build a cycle wheel

  • Prepare frames and forks for cycle assembly

  • Augment a cycle (fitting accessories)

  • Change a cycle frame

  • Service cycle headsets assemblies

  • Remove and replace cycle braking systems


Course Format

Part Time: Two days per week (usually weekends), for five weeks

Full Time: Monday - Friday 

All courses run from 09:00 - 17:00 at our Training Centre at 3 Maxilla Walk, Notting Hill, London W10 6NQ

Cost

£1,200 per place (Inc. VAT). Enquire below and we will get in touch to book you on a course and discuss payment. 

Cancellation policy: At least 14 days notice prior to the course starting must be given to receive a full refund. We will not be able to refund deposits for cancellation within 14 days prior the course starting. Cancellations due to the new government restrictions due to COVID-19 will result in a full refund or a place on the next available course.
