Bikeworks delivers cycle training across London, in order to meet our social enterprise objective of building a more diverse cycling community. For that reason we support thousands of adults and children each year to complete cycle training (cycle skills).

Cycle training (cycle skills) is a refreshed version of what was previously called ‘cycling proficiency’. If you want to know more about the skills required at each level, you can find out more information by clicking this link.

    • Level 1 – is the basics of how to ride a bike, including balance and pedal setting.
    • Level 2 – is more focused on road awareness; covering turns and roundabouts.
    • Level 3 – is focused on independent road riding and route planning.

In partnership with Tower Hamlets council we are able to provide anyone who lives, works or studies in the borough, two free sessions of one-to-one cycle training or one week of family cycling sessions.

The lessons take place in a location convenient to you in Tower Hamlets and we can provide bikes, helmets and hi vis if required.

In order for us to book you in for training you need to book yourself onto our system by registering your details at the link below. You also need to make a payment of £5. This is a deposit payment and will be refunded on completion of your training. If you book a session but then fail to notify us with at least 48 hours notice we will keep the deposit. Once you have registered you will receive an email from us with a link to our booking software where you will be able to select and available slot at a time that suits you.
