One-to-One CYCLE SKILLS

We run one-to-one individual sessions, as well as group community cycle sessions .

On behalf of the Royal Borough Greenwich, Bikeworks is able to provide anyone (from the age of 7+) that lives, works or studies within the borough with up to 4 hours of free cycle training.

Sessions take place in different locations around the borough, and are tailored to suit everyone’s needs, regardless of age, confidence level, or ability.

Training takes place in:

Hornfair Park
We have bikes available to borrow free of charge, as well as helmets and high-viz vests

Avery Hill Park
We have bikes available to borrow free of charge, as well as helmets and high-viz vests

Queenscroft Recreation Grounds
We do not have bikes, helmets or high-viz vests

Abbey Wood Park Playground
We do not have bikes, helmets or high-viz vests

Plumstead Gardens
We do not have bikes, helmets or high-viz vests

Glyndon Estate
We do not have bikes, helmets or high-viz vests

PLEASE NOTE:
Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult during the cycle training.

1. LEARN TO RIDE A BIKE


A professional cycling instructor will support you to get riding in a safe environment away from roads and traffic. It can take just 2 hours to go from never having ridden before to having a real sense of confidence on a bike! Bikes and helmets are FREE to borrow if needed. 2. RUSTY RIDERS


The Rusty Rider course is tailored for those with lower confidence and fitness levels. The course runs at a slower pace and develops the skills and confidence needed to be an effective cyclist on or off road. Bikes and helmets are FREE to borrow if needed. 3. START COMMUTING


If you’re looking to start commuting by bike then we can get you going! A professional instructor will help you plan a route that suits you, ride it through with you and cover the essentials skills to make you confident cycling on London’s roads. 4. ADVANCED COMMUTER COURSE


Take the ‘near misses’ out of your commute. Working around your home, place of work or on your daily route you will cover advanced road positioning at complex junctions, hazard perception and driver profiling to make you the best commuter you can be.
