Professional Bicycle Mechanics Course

In 2009 we begun our Cycle into Work, a Professional Bicycle Mechanics Course that supports unemployed Londoners find work in the cycle industry.

Since then we have grown and diversified and now support over 100 people a year to complete professional training with half of our participants finding work immediately.

We are always keen to meet funders, sponsors, refers and partners interested in how they can support our professional bicycle maintenance course. If you would like to get involved in any way please contact us on enquiries@bikeworks.org.uk

We are a City & Guilds accredited training centre and offer the following qualifications:

  • Bicycle Maintenance – levels one and two
  • Retail – level one
  • Employability Skills – level one

We have a four stage approach of:

  • Connector.

    Engagement

We run induction programmes and trial sessions including a ‘Build a Bike course’ where we teach people to build a bike from a box. This is a great way to learn basic maintenance and participants get a bike to ride home on at the end of the session. We offer full packaged courses for organisations to purchases for their users. If you would like to know more please contact us via the form below.

    City & Guilds Level 1

We run an entry level course to around 80 people each year. This covers fixing punctures, wheels and brakes.
