Cycle Training

Bikeworks is committed to promoting the highest standard and best practice when it comes to offering cycle training to get you cycling safely and confidently on or off road.
We deliver cycle training to the 'national standard' and are an accredited 'Bikeability' training provider, these fully accredited courses are run by qualified instructors who are committed to improving cycling techniques of everybody, regardless of age or ability.
Get in touch to book some cycle training for you or your family. We are able to provide a bike if you dont have one provided you are able to come to us.
We are able to provide free or heavily discounted training for adults living, working or studying in the following boroughs:
Hammersmith & Fulham
Two hours of subsidised adult cycle training (£5.00) available with qualified instructors.
Free LGV driver CPC training – In conjunction with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, Bikeworks are delivering accredited a one-day (7 hours) Safer Urban Driving course which is Driver CPC certified, and is offered FREE OF CHARGE to any professional LGV driver who drives in either Hammersmith and Fulham and/or their partner boroughs (Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster). The day consists of a theory module in the classroom and a practical module out on bikes led by an experienced urban cycle instructor. Click here to see more information and book on a course.
Private instruction
Private lessons are available for £30 per hour per instructor. Sharing
a lesson with a friend or for your kids if they cant access training at school
are popular choices.

THERE ARE THREE BIKEABILITY LEVELS:
Level 1 is usually covered in a traffic free environment. By completing Level 1, you will be able to demonstrate the skills and understanding to be able to make a trip and undertake activities safely in a motor traffic free environment and as a pre-requisite to a road trip
Level 2 is covered on quiet roads but with real traffic conditions. By completing Level 2 you will be able to demonstrate the skills and understanding to be able to make a trip safely to school, work or leisure on quiet roads
Level 3 is covered on busy roads incorporating real traffic conditions and advanced road features. By completing Level 3 you will be able demonstrate the skills and understanding to be able to make a trip safely to school, work or leisure on busy roads and using complex junctions and road features
