City and Guilds VRQ level 2 in bicycle maintenance and repair -

Bikeworks
professional courses will ensure you are properly qualified and can demonstrate
the skills you need. We now offer the internationally recognised City & Guilds bicycle mechanics
course. We have a highly experienced,professional and passionate training
team, a fully equipped training centre and class sizes are small.
Work experience & employment opportunities at Bikeworks are also available.
Course Overview:
A professional qualification the course gives you everything you need to begin working in the industry.
Duration: The course is delivered over ten full-time days either part-time at weekends or full time over a two-week period
The City and Guilds syllabus includes: health and safety, workshop practise and safety standards; puncture repair, tyres & inner tubes; gear systems; wheel building and truing; bearings (hubs, headsets and bottom brackets etc); break systems; frames and forks.
Dates 2011:
10 day intensive course (Mon - Fri) - 2 week course Monday 7 to Friday 11 Feb and Monday 14 Feb to Friday 18 Feb.
Part time (5 consecutive weekends) - 5 weekends over the following weekends: 5/6, 12/13, 19/20, 26/27 Feb and 5/6 March.

One day entry to intermediate level courses
Whether you want to learn to fix a puncture or build a wheel, we have a course for you: beginners, intermediate, or advanced level for the home mechanic. Courses are generally on Sundays at our training centre.
