CYCLE TRAINING

Bikeworks offers cycle training delivered at your work location on specified days that allow you as an employer to encourage the use of cycling as an alternative healthy and environmentally friendly form of transport. We work with you to tailor a one day course that meets the individual requirements of your business and employees.

CYCLE TO WORK SCHEMES:

With fully trained Cytech Cycle Mechanics and an active program to encourage the training of new staff Bikeworks can offer a wide range of cycling solutions to the business community. Supplying Giant & Python cycles and cycle accessories, we are able to secure excellent price deals and delivery options for our customers.

'DR BIKE' ON SITE BIKE SERVICING

A regular on site service where staff can have their bikes serviced, cleaned & repaired whilst they work.

ON-SITE BUSINESS SURVEYS:

Bikeworks can provide experienced Cycling Consultants who will travel to your business location; we will survey your company's needs and requirements to facilitate easy cycling opportunities when it comes to cycling to work. This can be as simple as choosing the correct cycle rack and placing it in a suitable, safe and secure area, through to a complete business cycle review. This can incorporate changing room and shower requirements, and on-site cycle training for employees that wish to cycle to work but need extra confidence through a refresher class.

A dedicated cycling day' can be arranged, a small outreach team will visit your business location to talk to and advise employers and employees on cycling related issues, for example servicing employee cycles for road safety, advice on upgrades or accessories, and information on safer cycling.

POOL BIKES:

Every business would benefit from having access to a fleet of fully serviced, clean and regularly upgraded selection of cycles. Bikeworks is able to offer this excellent opportunity to the business community. For example, as a business you can make up a fleet of 10 cycles of various sizes and styles to accommodate all riders, these are left onsite or can be spread across various site locations depending on your business needs.

Employees can use the pool of bikes to cycle to and from work, in-between business sites or simply to the shops at lunchtime. Every month Bikeworks will visit to clean, service and repair any damage to the cycles so they are as good as new.

CSR OPPORTUNITIES

Bikeworks can help your organisation meet it’s corporate social responsibility objectives in a range of different ways. Bikeworks uses bikes to tackle environmental, social & economic challenges in London. Bikeworks creates local solutions to global issues through the promotion of sustainable urban transport through cycling. Bikeworks geographical focus is on areas of social deprivation in east London. Creation of employment and training opportunities for marginalised individuals is integrated into the heart of the enterprise.

Specific activities include: recycling & refurbishing second hand bikes in London, provide dedicated (free to the public) training to get more people cycling on the road and doing so safely & affordably, creating training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged communities in a booming cycling industry, and providing specialist disability cycling services.

By contracting Bikeworks to deliver professional cycling services to your organisation you directly support the delivery of Bikeworks social & environmental objectives.

Unwanted or abandoned bikes can be donated to Bikeworks bike recycling programme which helps keeps bikes from landfill and provides low cost bikes for disadvantaged communities.

There are also opportunities for corporate sponsorship of Bikeworks programmes and opportunities for staff to get involved through volunteering and participating in Bikeworks community initiatives.
