All Ability Cycling

Working within the disability field is something that Bikeworks specialises in. We offer an all-ability cycling programme promoting confidence in cycling within the learning / disabled community.
Our All Ability Programme has been highlighted as a success and recently recieved the 'London 2012 Inspire' mark status and is accredited with the Special Olympics.
We are grateful for the support of the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney & Kensington Chelsea in supporting all ability cycling with Bikeworks.
All Ability Cycling Clubs
The
All Ability Cycling Clubs are for everyone. We offer the opportunity for members
to have an independent cycling experience whatever their age or ability. It
is an informal, social environment where members cycle together around the
park for fun, health and fitness. Family and carers are welcome to join in.
The clubs are free to participate. We provide bicycles and helmets and have
a wide selection of equipment, ranging from scooters, two wheelers, tandems,
trikes, recumbents, wheelchair and hand cycles.

Special Olympics Training Programme
This is a chance to train with Bikeworks instructors to take part in regional and national Special Olympics competitions. Special Olympics Great Britain (SOGB) is the third member of the Olympic family and provides sporting opportunities for people with a learning disability. All athletes have an equal opportunity to take part. This free training is offered as individual 1 hr sessions every other Saturday from both our Victoria Park (current) and Kensington & Chelsea club locations.
Training includes a range of cycling activities (all off-road) working towards competing in time trial distances (including 500m, 1km, 5km and 10km distances). This programme is ideal to build fitness and improve health and confidence, while working towards clear competition goals and being part of a team.
If you want to come along or know someone who may wish to take part, please contact Bikeworks for more information or to book a time slot (please note booking is necessary).
All of the above activities are carried out within off road, safe environments
away from moving vehicles. Participants / carers will need to complete a one-off
consent form for members prior to taking part in cycling activities.
